• The Papers of Adil Al-Azmah. Box 1 (iv).
  Five sets of photocopied papers, (six pages, five pages, five pages, three pages and twelve pages), all handwritten documents, Nos. 102-138, from the papers of Adil Al-Azmah. These include letters written on headed notepaper from the Republic of Syria's General Secretariat and Latakia Governorate.

  Two sets of photocopied papers; one of 25 pages and the other of 22 pages, from the papers of Adil Al-Azmah. These are primarily relating to financial affairs and include letters, many of which bear Syrian postage stamps, along with some handwritten notes and lists of figures. Each document is numbered individually (Nos. 201 - 216).

  27 photocopied pages of letters and documents from the papers of Adil Al-Azmah, individually numbered (Nos. 127-149) and including a June 1947 telegram from Lattaq, a letter from the Lebanese Embassy ('Legation de Liban') in Argentina, and a letter from 1947 with a Masonic letterhead.

  Photocopied correspondence and other papers relating to Adil Al-Azmah. There are eight loose sheets, four pages of a printed document, and a chart, relating to a manuscript system for organising his documents at the Ministry of the Interior. Each document is numbered individually (Nos. 169 - 173).

There are four sets of documents; five pages, four pages, eighteen pages and nine pages, the latter including a letter in French from Patrick Scrivener, the British Envoy in Damascus, dated 26 August [1947?]. Each document is numbered individually (Nos. 174-190).

  Twelve sheets of photocopied letters and papers relating to the political activities of Adil Al-Azmah. The documents are numbered individually (Nos. 217-226) and include a handwritten document by Nabih Al-Azmah on the party's national organisation, as well as handwritten notes by Adil Al-Azmah on matters he wished to raise with the President of the Republic.

The documents are numbered (Nos.354-395) and include a letter from Suleiman Al Husseini, handwritten statements on unrealised state projects and salaries, communications on trade and industry, draft documents dealing with problems in Aleppo, a letter to the director of an electricity company and other papers.

  Photocopied pages from the papers of Adil Al-Azmah. The documents are numbered (Nos. 494-511) and include official documents in Arabic as well as typed and handwritten letters in French, one of which is a translation of a letter from Aziz Bey Haouache to a lawyer named Abib, dated January 1939. Other documents include a copy of a printed protest published by a scholarly association in Damascus, and a letter in Arabic from Farid Khani (later Syrian envoy to the USSR) in Paris.

  Photocopied pages from the papers of Adil Al-Azmah. The outside of the folder gives the document numbers as Nos.512-587 although few of the actual pages are numbered individually. Most are political reports in printed Arabic on diverse topics, with government stamps on them, and dated 1939.

The documents are numbered (Nos. 618-654) and include both official documents and letters, primarily reports relating to the work of the Director of Police, political intelligence reports on the situation in Damascus, the provinces and neighbouring countries.
